Kestrels (Foundation and Year 1)
Welcome to KestrelsWe are a mixed Foundation and Year One class of 18 children. Mrs Anne Noon and Mrs Gilly Clark are the teachers and are extremely well supported by our teaching assistants Mrs Maddie Beer, Mrs Sandra Paul, Miss Rachael Powell and Mrs Stephanie Mabbutt. Our topic for the beginning of the Spring term was called ‘Once upon a time’. The children listened to a variety of traditional stories and explored materials to investigate their properties. They then had great fun using their understanding to construct different homes. This half term we are learning about wild animals and plants. We are preparing our raised bed to grow vegetables and we will be visiting Paignton Zoo to learn about animals from the Rain Forest.
